What is the difference between this yellow cable and the blue pipe heat cable?
Both cables are self-regulating external pipe heating cables. The main difference is the thermostat.
Yellow Version: no built-in thermostat, starts heating immediately when plugged in, does not automatically shut off power, and can be paired with a separate thermostat.
Blue Version: built-in thermostat, turns heating on around 37°F / 3°C and off around 50°F / 10°C, and is better for automatic energy-saving operation.
Does self-regulating mean the cable turns off by itself?
