      • Factory Default: The controller is preset to turn ON when the temperature falls below 37°F (3°C) and OFF when it rises above 47°F (8°C) (upper limit: +10°F / +5°C).
      • Your Requirement: Turn ON below 38°F and OFF above 40°F.
      • Solution: Adjust the upper limit to +3°F (2°C). With this setting:
        • The controller will turn ON when the temperature falls below 37°F (which meets your "ON below 38°F" need).
        • It will turn OFF when the temperature rises above 37°F + 3°F = 40°F (exactly matches your "OFF above 40°F" requirement).
