Digital Plug-In Thermostat for Heating Control with 6.6 ft Sensor Probe
YeloDeer Digital Plug-In Thermostat with Timer is a simple plug-in temperature controller designed for heating applications. It helps turn connected heating equipment on and off based on the temperature measured by the external sensor probe.
This thermostat is ideal for pipe freeze protection, pipe heat tape control, greenhouse heating, reptile enclosures, seedling heat mats, fermentation setups, incubators, pet warming pads, oil drum heaters, and other heating devices that need temperature-based control.
Instead of leaving your heating equipment running all the time, this controller helps power the connected device only when heating is needed.

Important Before You Order
This product is for heating control.
It is designed to turn heating equipment on when the sensed temperature is too low and turn it off after the temperature rises according to your settings.
Your device is a heating device Your device voltage is 110–120V Your device does not exceed 10A / 1200W Your device can safely cycle on and off Your application needs heating control, not cooling control The controller and plug connection can stay dry The probe can be placed near the target temperature area You understand this is not for AC, refrigeration, or compressor control
Heating Thermostat vs Cooling Thermostat
Choose This Heating Thermostat If You want to control pipe heat tape, heating cable, heat mat, heater, warming pad, incubator heater, drum heater, or other heating equipment.
Choose Cooling Thermostat If You want to control an attic fan, exhaust fan, inline duct fan, greenhouse ventilation fan, grow room fan, or other cooling / fan equipment.
The two products may look similar, but their control logic is different. Please choose based on whether you need heating control or cooling / fan control.
If you need fan or ventilation control, choose YeloDeer Digital Cooling Thermostat Outlet instead.

Recommended Applications

Pipe Freeze Protection Applications
This thermostat is especially useful when used with pipe heating cables that do not have a built-in thermostat.
Automatic Freeze Control Helps turn heating on during freezing conditions based on probe temperature.
Less Manual Plugging Reduces the need to manually plug and unplug pipe heat tape during cold weather.
Reduced Runtime Helps reduce unnecessary heating time compared with leaving heating equipment powered continuously.
Better Placement Control External probe can be placed near the pipe or coldest exposed area.
Useful with No-Thermostat Cable A good match for heating cables that do not already include built-in temperature control.
Winter Setup Check Allows you to test heating cable operation before severe winter weather.

How Heating Control Works
This thermostat uses the external sensor probe to detect temperature.
When the sensed temperature drops below the set heating point, the thermostat powers the connected heating device. When the temperature rises above the stop point based on your differential or upper-limit setting, the thermostat stops powering the device.
Understanding the Timer
The 0–10 hour timer can be used when you want controlled runtime instead of continuous operation.
Temporary Heating Controlled Warming Cycles Fermentation Greenhouse Heating Pet or Reptile Heating Workshop Runtime Control
Probe Placement
Good Probe Placement Place the probe near the area you want to control. For pipe freeze protection, place it near the pipe or coldest exposed area that represents freeze risk.
Avoid Poor Placement Do not place the probe directly against a heating element, in unstable drafts, or somewhere that does not represent the target temperature.
Load Selection Reminder
Before connecting any heating device, confirm its wattage and current draw.
Do not exceed 10A / 1200W. If your heating equipment exceeds the rated load, do not use it with this thermostat.
Basic Setup Overview
YeloDeer Digital Plug-In Thermostat is designed for simple plug-in installation.
- Plug the thermostat into a 110–120V outlet.
- Plug the heating device into the thermostat outlet.
- Place the 6.6 ft sensor probe in the target temperature area.
- Set the desired temperature.
- Adjust the temperature differential or upper limit if needed.
- Set the timer if timed operation is required.
- Confirm that the heating device turns on and off as expected.
Pipe Freeze Protection Setup
- Install the heating cable on the pipe according to the cable instructions.
- Place the thermostat probe near the pipe or coldest exposed area.
- Keep the probe protected but able to sense the pipe environment.
- Plug the heating cable into the thermostat outlet.
- Set the desired freeze protection temperature.
- Add pipe insulation if needed.
- Check operation before severe winter weather.
Important Installation Notes
Heating Devices Only Use only with compatible heating devices within the rated load.
Keep Controller Dry Do not place the controller or outlet connection in rain, snow, condensation, or standing water.
No Compressor Loads Do not use with compressors, air conditioners, or refrigeration equipment.
Check Cords and Plugs Do not use with damaged cords, loose plugs, or unsafe outlets.
Place Probe Carefully Do not place the probe directly on a heating element unless the application requires it and the temperature is safe.
Follow Device Instructions Always follow the connected heating equipment’s instructions and load limits.
Using the Probe Correctly
Correct probe placement is very important. Poor probe placement may cause the heater to turn on or off too early, too late, or too frequently.
Place the probe near the area you want to control Keep it away from direct drafts unless controlling air temperature Avoid placing it directly against hot heating elements Secure it so it does not move during use Calibrate the sensor if the reading needs adjustment Check probe placement before severe winter or long-term use
Using with YeloDeer Heating Products
This thermostat can be used with selected YeloDeer heating products when the load is within the controller rating, especially heating cables without built-in temperature control.
For pipe heat cable applications, it is especially helpful when paired with YeloDeer yellow no-thermostat self-regulating pipe heat cable.
The installation photo below shows how customers use YeloDeer digital plug-in thermostat for heating control in real applications.
Common examples include pipe freeze protection, pipe heat tape control, greenhouse heating, reptile enclosures, seedling heat mats, fermentation setups, incubators, pet warming pads, and workshop heating applications.
Every heating application is different. Probe placement, device wattage, air movement, insulation, surrounding temperature, and the type of heating equipment can all affect performance.
