Digital 5-Gallon Honey Heater & Bee Blanket with Timer
YeloDeer 5-Gallon Digital Honey Heater & Bee Blanket is designed to warm honey, syrup, chocolate, oils, and other temperature-sensitive materials stored in standard 5-gallon buckets.
It is especially useful for beekeepers, honey processors, farms, bottling operations, retail honey sellers, and home users who need to soften crystallized honey without applying excessive heat.
The digital thermostat allows you to set the temperature from 41°F to 158°F, while the timer can be set from 0.5 to 12 hours. If no timer is selected, the heater can operate in constant-temperature mode and cycle on and off according to the sensor reading.

Important Before You Order
This product is designed for standard 5-gallon buckets.
It is a controlled, moderate-temperature heating blanket, not a high-temperature industrial drum heater.
Always confirm that your container, contents, desired temperature, and operating environment are suitable for heating before use.
Your container is approximately 5 gallons The blanket can wrap securely around the bucket The container material is safe to heat The contents are suitable for the selected temperature The bucket is not cracked, leaking, or damaged The probe can be placed in the dedicated sensor pocket The controller and plug connection can remain dry The application is not hazardous, explosive, or flammable
Which YeloDeer Bucket or Drum Heater Should You Choose?
Choose This Digital Honey Heater If You need digital temperature adjustment, timer or constant-temperature operation, gradual honey warming, and better control for temperature-sensitive 5-gallon bucket contents.
Choose Silicone Drum Heater If You need faster heating, higher temperatures, 5-gallon or 55-gallon options, or industrial liquid warming for resin, grease, paraffin, or high-viscosity materials.
Choose Aluminum Foil Bucket Heater If You mainly need low-temperature warming, freeze prevention, basic heat retention, or a simpler lower-power option.
Honey Temperature Guidance
For honey, a common working range is approximately 95°F to 113°F.
Avoid unnecessarily high temperatures, especially when preserving honey flavor, aroma, and natural properties is important. The correct setting depends on honey crystallization, bucket material, ambient temperature, volume, desired flow rate, and how quickly you need the honey ready.
Sensor Placement Is Essential
The temperature probe must be placed in the dedicated sensor pocket on the blanket.
Do not leave the probe hanging in open air. If the probe is not installed correctly, it may not measure the bucket temperature accurately, and the heater may continue heating longer than intended.

Beekeeping & Honey Processing
Cold temperatures can cause honey to thicken or crystallize, making it difficult to pour, filter, bottle, or dispense. This heater wraps around the bucket and provides controlled heat across the container wall.
Smoother Flow Helps restore smoother honey flow for pouring, filtering, and bottling.
Crystallization Support Helps gradually soften crystallized honey without rapid high-temperature heating.
Retail Preparation Useful for preparing honey for market, retail dispensing, or production work.
Compatible Containers
This heater is designed for standard 5-gallon buckets with a suitable circumference and shape.
The blanket fits securely The container is safe to heat The contents are suitable for the selected temperature The bucket is not cracked, leaking, or damaged The faucet opening aligns with your container if needed The container can remain stable during heating
Not for Every Material
Do not use this heater with explosive materials, highly flammable vapors, pressurized containers not approved for heating, materials with unknown safe heating temperatures, containers that may soften or deform at the selected temperature, or hazardous areas requiring explosion-proof equipment.
Always confirm the safe temperature range of the material and container before heating.

Timer Mode
Use timer mode when you want the heater to operate for a set period. The heater maintains the selected temperature during the timer period, then shuts off automatically when the timer ends.
Timer mode is useful when you know approximately how long the material needs to warm, want automatic shutdown, or are preparing honey for a specific bottling or filtering session.
Constant-Temperature Mode
If no timer is set, the heater can operate in constant-temperature mode. The thermostat cycles the heater on and off to maintain the selected temperature.
Use this mode when you want the bucket maintained at a working temperature, need honey ready for dispensing, or need extended temperature maintenance while monitoring the setup.
Recommended Settings for Honey
95°F to 105°F for gentle warming 105°F to 113°F for more crystallized honey Avoid exceeding 122°F unless your process specifically requires it Start lower and allow time for heat to move through the bucket Check material temperature periodically Remember the center of a full bucket may warm more slowly
Heating Time Expectations
This heater is designed for controlled warming, not instant melting.
Starting Temperature Ambient Temperature Material Volume Material Viscosity Bucket Material Temperature Setting Bucket Lid Use Crystallization Level
Basic Setup
- Place the 5-gallon bucket on a stable, dry surface.
- Check that the container is undamaged and safe to heat.
- Wrap the heater evenly around the bucket.
- Align the faucet opening if your bucket has a dispensing valve.
- Tighten the Velcro straps so the blanket makes good contact with the container.
- Insert the temperature probe into the dedicated sensor pocket.
- Plug the heater into a properly grounded 120V outlet.
- Set the desired temperature.
- Set a timer if timed operation is preferred.
- Monitor the first heating cycle to confirm correct operation.
Important Operating Notes
Use Sensor Pocket Always place the probe in the dedicated sensor pocket before operation.
Wrap Evenly Do not operate the heater with the blanket folded, bunched, loose, or unevenly wrapped.
Check Container Safety Do not use on a leaking, cracked, damaged, or unsuitable container.
Respect Material Limits Do not exceed the safe temperature of the contents or container.
Keep Electrical Parts Dry Keep the controller and plug connection dry. Do not submerge electrical components.
Avoid Hazardous Areas Do not use in explosive, flammable, or hazardous locations.
For Better Heating Performance
Use a lid when appropriate Keep the bucket away from cold floors or strong drafts Allow sufficient heating time Stir the contents when safe and appropriate Start with moderate temperature settings Check the material periodically rather than relying only on surface temperature
Cleaning and Storage
Cleaning Unplug the heater and allow it to cool before cleaning. Wipe the exterior with a damp cloth. Do not immerse the heater in water.
Storage Make sure the blanket is clean and dry, roll it loosely, avoid sharp folds in the heating area, and protect the controller and power cord from damage.
The installation photos below show how customers use YeloDeer Digital Honey Heater & Bee Blanket for honey warming, decrystallization, filtering, bottling, dispensing, and other 5-gallon bucket applications.
Every setup is different. Honey type, starting temperature, crystallization level, bucket material, room temperature, and heating time can all affect performance.
