Heating Mode vs Cooling Mode
Heating Mode Use when the controller should turn equipment on when the measured temperature is too low. Typical uses include heaters, heating cables, heat mats, incubators, fermentation warming, greenhouse heating, and terrarium heating.
Cooling Mode Use when the controller should turn equipment on when the measured temperature is too high. Typical uses include ventilation fans, exhaust fans, refrigerators, cooling equipment, greenhouse ventilation, and brewing cooling systems.
For compressor-based cooling equipment, use the compressor delay function to reduce rapid cycling. Set the delay according to the equipment’s requirements and application conditions.

How Heating Mode Works
In heating mode, the controller turns the connected heating device on when the measured temperature is below your set point.
When the temperature rises to the target range, the controller turns the heating device off according to the control settings.
How Cooling Mode Works
In cooling mode, the controller turns the connected cooling device on when the measured temperature is above your set point.
When the temperature drops to the target range, the controller turns the cooling device off according to the control settings.

- Install the controller in a suitable panel, box, or enclosure.
- Connect the power and controlled equipment according to the wiring requirements.
- Place the 6.6 ft sensor probe in the target temperature area.
- Select heating mode or cooling mode based on your application.
- Set the target temperature.
- Set the temperature differential or control parameters if needed.
- Set compressor delay if using refrigeration or compressor-based equipment.
- Set high and low temperature alarms if needed.
- Lock the keypad to prevent accidental changes.
- Test the system before continuous operation.
