This kit combines a CSA-certified self-regulating in-pipe heating cable with a Cable Entry Gland. It creates a sealed cable-entry point through a compatible pipe wall, cleanout cap, tank wall, or flat surface so the heating cable can be routed inside.
Low-Static-Head Use
For compatible low-static-head pipes, tanks, drains, and containment applications.

Direct pipe-wall entry requires a round pipe at least 2 in in diameter and a compatible curved washer fit.

Not for pressurized plumbing. Do not install the Cable Entry Gland on municipal water pressure lines, pressurized household plumbing, pressure vessels, gas piping, fuel tanks, or high-pressure equipment.
Sump pump discharge lines: This kit can be used where the installation remains within the product's low-static-head application limits. Do not treat the Cable Entry Gland as a pressure-rated plumbing fitting.
Self-regulating does not mean automatic shutoff. Heat output changes with temperature, but the cable remains energized while connected to power. Add a compatible external thermostat when automatic temperature-based on/off control is needed.

Mounting Surface Requirements
Use on
Smooth, rigid, structurally sound surfaces capable of supporting gasket compression. Compatible materials may include PVC, ABS, PE, PP, fiberglass, metal, and similar rigid materials.
Avoid
Cracks, deep scratches, heavy texture, corrugations, flexible walls, sharp curves, seams, molded ribs, raised lettering, threaded areas, or locations too close to an edge.
Do not use on pressurized systems. This includes municipal water pressure lines, pressurized household plumbing, pressure vessels, gas systems, fuel systems, and high-pressure equipment.
Before Installation

Basic Installation Sequence

Choose the entry location. Select a smooth, rigid area with enough sealing surface around the hole.

Drill the entry hole. Use the included 25 mm / approx. 1 in Hole Saw (J). Keep the drill as perpendicular to the surface as possible.

Deburr the hole. Remove sharp edges, plastic debris, and metal shavings from both sides.

Select the washer. Use Curved Rubber Washer (B) for a compatible round pipe. Use Flat Rubber Washer (B') for cleanout caps, tank walls, and flat surfaces.

Insert the A-D-E Assembly. Insert the pre-assembled flange base, screw, and retaining plate through the entry hole.

Secure the retaining plate. Use two screwdrivers. One stabilizes the Crescent Retaining Plate (E) while the other tightens the mounting screw. Install the second screw and alternately tighten both.

Install the outlet fitting. Seat Flange Sealing Gasket (C), then install Flange Cable Outlet Fitting (F).

Prepare the cable. Slide Compression Nut (G) and Fitting Gasket (H) onto the cable before routing it through the entry assembly.

Route the heating cable. Feed it slowly toward the intended freeze-prone section.

Complete the cable seal. Install Silicone Sealing Plug (I), position H, and hand-tighten G until properly seated.

Leak-check before power. Inspect the mounting flange and cable entry for moisture or leakage before energizing the heating cable.
Never completely remove both mounting screws at the same time. Keep at least one screw partially engaged with the Crescent Retaining Plate (E) so the plate cannot fall inside the pipe, tank, or containment structure.
Long Pipe Runs
Use a Pulling Line When Needed
If the cable cannot be positioned by hand, feed fish tape or a strong pulling line from the far end toward the cable-entry location. Attach it to the heating cable and pull slowly while guiding the cable.
Do Not Damage the Cable
Do not use sharp wire, sharp hooks, or tools that can cut, scrape, puncture, crush, or heavily kink the heating cable jacket. Do not force the cable through resistance.
Final check: Keep all gaskets correctly seated and do not overtighten plastic components. Check the completed installation for leakage before connecting power.
