I have a 4 inch ABS drain pipe running from my roof down into my basement. It’s an interior drainage system for the roof. Is this product suitable to run through that 4 inch ABS pipe? This application runs through roof and walls and needs to be rated as such.
This In-Pipe Heating Cable for Drain Lines is indeed suitable for use in your 4-inch ABS drain pipe.
However, for a 4-inch diameter pipe , we highly recommend our Heavy-Duty Sewer Pipe Heating Cable as a more optimal choice.
This heavy-duty model offers:
Safer Operation: It is equipped with a built-in GFCI (Ground Fault Circuit Interrupter), which prevents overheating and ensures reliable protection for your drainage system.
Better Freeze Protection: It features higher power output, delivering more effective anti-freezing performance to keep your drain line clear in cold conditions.

do you offer a iphc-dmi cable that is 3feet long, if so what is the sku number so i can order one?
Hi Sir,
Thank you for your interest in our in-pipe heating cable!
Our standard minimum length for this product is 5ft, and we do offer custom 3ft lengths. However, please note that custom orders come with a significant premium due to the specialized production and setup costs involved.
For the most cost-effective solution, we highly recommend going with the 5ft option. The extra length can simply be coiled up and will not affect the performance or safety of the cable at all.
If you still prefer the 3ft custom length, please let us know and we can provide you with a quote and the corresponding order number.

Can I use an extension cord with this product? My pipe is 15 feet from the outlet! Or should I buy a longer piece and let the tape lay on the ground ? Thank you
Hi Sir,
Thanks for your question about our in-pipe heating cable! For your setup, the most practical and safe approach is to use an extension cord, with one important specification:- We recommend using an extension cord that is 16AWG or thicker. This ensures it can safely handle the electrical load of the heating cable without overheating.

If used in a toilet drain from house above the ground15ft will toilet paper hook on it and clog drain
We have had customers use this product in toilet drain pipes, and we haven’t received any clogging complaints so far. However, please consider the size of your drain pipe. Our product dimensions are 7.9*4.9mm(0.3*0.19in), and the outer sheath is quite smooth. If the heating cable is not bent in the pipe, the chance of clogging is low.
Regarding toilet paper, it should dissolve in water. As long as no fabric, plastic bags, or long hair are flushed, regular toilet paper shouldn’t cause a blockage.
