Temperature Controlled Extension Cord for Outdoor Covered Outlets
YeloDeer Temperature Controlled Extension Cord is a simple automatic thermostat cord designed to turn connected heating devices on during freezing conditions and turn them off when the temperature rises.
This slim extension-style controller is especially useful for outdoor outlets with weatherproof covers. Compared with a standard thermostat plug, the extended cord design helps make outlet-cover fit and plug placement easier in many covered outdoor receptacles.
It is a practical choice for pipe heat tape, small outdoor heaters, chicken coop heaters, pet water bowls, bird bath de-icers, greenhouse heaters, pump house heaters, RV winter protection, garage heating devices, and other compatible 120V heating applications.

Important Before You Order
This product is a fixed-temperature thermostat extension cord.
It is not a digital adjustable thermostat. It automatically activates around freezing conditions and turns off when the temperature rises. Exact on/off temperature may vary slightly because this type of thermostat uses a mechanical temperature sensor.
This product is designed for compatible 120V heating devices only. It is not intended for cooling fans, air conditioners, refrigerators, freezers, compressors, electric floor heating systems, baseboard heaters, or whole-home HVAC systems.
Your device is a 120V heating device Your device is safe for automatic on/off control Your total load is within outlet and circuit limits Your outlet cover can close after installation Your plug and outlet connection can stay dry and protected You do not need adjustable temperature settings Your application does not require cooling or compressor control You understand mechanical thermostat tolerance is normal
Why Choose the Slim Extension Cord Version?
Choose This Version If Your outdoor outlet has a weatherproof cover, a standard thermostat plug is too bulky, or you need more flexible placement between the outlet and heating device.
Choose Standard Plug If Your outlet cover has enough space, plug crowding is not an issue, and you prefer a compact plug-style thermostat adapter.
The control purpose is similar. The main difference is the physical design and outlet-cover fit.

Recommended Applications
YeloDeer Temperature Controlled Extension Cord is designed for winter heating devices that need automatic low-temperature power control.

Outdoor Covered Outlet Use
This version is especially useful when the outlet is protected by a weatherproof in-use cover.
Standard plug-in thermostat adapters may be bulky and can make some covers difficult to close. The slim extension cord design gives more installation flexibility and helps reduce interference with the outlet cover.
Compatible Devices
This product can be used with many compatible 120V heating devices within the rated load.
The device is 120V The device is a heating device The device can safely turn on and off automatically The device plug fits the thermostat outlet Total load does not exceed outlet or circuit rating Plug, outlet, and connection can be protected from water
Best Pairing with YeloDeer Products
This product can be paired with heating devices that do not already have automatic temperature control.
It may be useful for selected pipe heat tapes, heat blankets, outdoor heating devices, and winter water protection products.
If your heating cable already has a built-in thermostat, this product may not be necessary. When two thermostats are used together, the heating device will only run when both control conditions allow power.

How It Works
Plug the temperature controlled extension cord into a 120V outlet, then plug your heating device into the controlled outlet.
When the surrounding temperature drops near freezing, the thermostat activates the outlet and powers the connected heating device. When the temperature rises above the shutoff range, it turns the connected device off.
No temperature setting is required.
Temperature Tolerance Reminder
This product uses a mechanical thermostat. The actual activation temperature may vary slightly from unit to unit.
Small differences are normal. The purpose is to help heating devices turn on before freezing conditions become severe and turn off when the environment warms above the freeze-risk range.
Indicator Light
The indicator light turns on when the controlled outlet is active and sending power to the connected heating device.
If the product is plugged in but the temperature is above the activation range, the indicator light may remain off. This is normal.
Load and Device Check
Voltage is 120V Wattage is within safe limits Current draw is within outlet and circuit rating Device is safe for automatic on/off operation Device is not compressor-based equipment Outlet, extension cord, and circuit will not be overloaded
Basic Setup Overview
YeloDeer Temperature Controlled Extension Cord is designed for simple plug-and-play use.
- Plug the thermostat extension cord into a 120V outlet.
- Plug the heating device into the thermostat-controlled outlet.
- Position the thermostat portion where it can sense outdoor or room temperature properly.
- Make sure the plug and outlet connection are protected from moisture.
- If using an outdoor weatherproof cover, confirm the cover can close properly.
- Test the connected heating device before winter weather.
Outdoor Outlet Setup
Use Outdoor-Rated Outlet Use an appropriate outdoor outlet and follow local electrical safety requirements.
Use In-Use Cover Use a weatherproof in-use cover and confirm it can close after installation.
Avoid Standing Water Keep plug connections away from rain, snow, dripping water, and standing water.
Do Not Pinch Cord Keep the cord positioned so it will not be pinched by the cover.
Sense Real Cold The thermostat should sense the actual cold environment where heating is needed.
Inspect Before Winter Check cords, plugs, covers, and connected devices before severe winter weather.
Placement Tips
Good Placement Place the thermostat portion where it can sense the cold condition that should trigger your heating device.
Avoid Poor Placement Do not place it directly against a heat source, inside a warm enclosure for outdoor freeze control, in direct sunlight, under insulation, or in standing water or snow buildup.
Using with Heat Tape
If using with pipe heat tape, install the heat tape according to the heating cable instructions first. Then connect the heat tape to the thermostat cord.
If the heat tape already has its own built-in thermostat, the heat tape will only run when both the thermostat cord and the heat tape’s built-in thermostat allow power.
Important Safety Notes
120V Heating Only Use only with compatible 120V heating devices. Do not use with 240V equipment.
No Cooling or Compressor Loads Do not use with cooling fans, air conditioners, refrigerators, freezers, or compressors.
Keep Connections Dry Keep plug and outlet connections dry and never place them in standing water.
Do Not Overload Do not overload the outlet, cord, or circuit.
Use Outdoor Protection Use outdoor-rated protection for outdoor or semi-outdoor applications.
Do Not Use Damaged Cord Do not use if the cord, plug, housing, or connected device is damaged.
