The YeloDeer ES29AW is specifically designed for 120V/240V electric radiant floor heating systems, including heating cables and mats. Before purchasing, please verify your system's total amperage (Load) and wiring configuration. For safety and warranty compliance, we strongly recommend installation by a qualified electrician.

In most North American climates, electric floor heating is typically used as a secondary heat source to provide "underfoot comfort," especially under tile or stone floors. Its ability to heat an entire room depends on your home's insulation, window surface area, and local climate. Think of it as a premium comfort upgrade for your living space.

No, this specific model does not include a built-in GFCI. Per local electrical codes (NEC/CEC), electric floor heating must be protected by a GFCI. Please consult your electrician to ensure your circuit is equipped with the appropriate external protection.

In most cases, no. While using the new floor sensor included in the box is recommended, the ES29AW is designed for retrofitting. If your old sensor is embedded and functional, you can reuse it by selecting the matching NTC resistance type (e.g., 10K, 12K, 15K) in the advanced settings.
Note: Using a mismatched sensor type will lead to inaccurate temperature readings.

These are self-diagnostic codes to help you troubleshoot:

  • E1: Internal Room Sensor error (monitoring ambient air temperature).
  • E2: External Floor Sensor error.
E2 is commonly caused by a loose connection, a damaged sensor wire, or an incorrect sensor type selection in the settings. Always turn off the power before inspecting the wiring.

Minor variances can occur due to sensor placement or airflow near the wall. You can use the "Temperature Calibration" feature in the settings to apply an offset for the room or floor temperature. However, calibration should not be used to mask a major sensor mismatch or wiring issue.

This is due to the "Adaptive Recovery" (Early Start) function. The thermostat learns how long your floor takes to reach the target temperature. If you set it to 75°F at 7:00 AM, it may start heating at 6:30 AM to ensure it’s perfectly warm the moment you step on it. You can disable this in the advanced settings if you prefer a strict start time.

This is simply the UI design for programming. In 7-day mode, each day is programmed individually. The highlight indicates the specific day you are currently editing. Simply tap another day (e.g., Tue, Wed) to view or modify its schedule. Your settings for all other days remain saved and active.

Yes. The system offers three sensing modes: Floor Mode (prevents floor overheating), Room Mode (controls ambient air), and Dual Mode (monitors air while using the floor sensor as a safety limit). You can switch between these based on your specific flooring type and comfort needs.
