  • can you put lvp flooring directly over yelodeer uncoupling membrane with heating cable without thinset or floor leveler

    Thanks for your question about installing LVP over our membrane!


    To keep this simple: No thinset is needed here at all. Thinset is cement-based and made specifically for tile or stone, most self-adhesive LVP can go right over the installed membrane. For non-adhesive LVP, you can use a flooring-specific adhesive or install click-lock LVP as a floating floor, which works perfectly with our membrane’s uncoupling design.


    For floor leveler, it’s only required if your subfloor isn’t smooth. If there’s more than 3mm of unevenness over 2 meters, you’ll need it to prevent hollow spots, squeaks, or warped LVP later. If your subfloor is already flat, you won’t need any leveler.
