Overview
A First-of-Its-Kind In-Hose RV Sewer Heating System
The YeloDeer In-Hose RV Sewer Heating System is designed to help prevent freezing and blockage along an RV wastewater discharge route during extended cold-weather use.
Unlike heated sleeves and conventional RV sewer heat tape that apply heat from outside the hose, this patent-pending system routes a self-regulating heating cable directly through a compatible RV sewer hose. The cable can extend into the campground sewer inlet, while the exposed section near the RV can be wrapped around the waste valve and sewer outlet.
This approach delivers heat where freezing can occur: at the RV valve, outlet, sewer hose, campground inlet, and the pipe section immediately below the inlet opening.

This product is designed for flexible RV sewer hoses with a standard 3 in bayonet connection. It is not intended for freshwater hoses, holding tanks, permanent buried plumbing, rigid underground sewer systems, or installations that require cutting or splicing the cable.

Why is the cable longer than the hose?
The additional cable is intended to extend below the campground sewer inlet opening and wrap around the RV waste valve or outlet. The hose does not need to be stretched to its maximum length during normal use.

Connected Sewer Hoses
The cable may pass through compatible hose couplings when the complete internal route remains open and the cable can move through without being forced.
Use one continuous heating cable for the complete route.
Do not connect two heating cables end to end. For 25 ft, 30 ft, or other special layouts, request a custom continuous cable that covers the RV outlet, all hose sections, couplings, and campground sewer inlet.

Important Product Distinction
This system protects the RV sewer discharge route after wastewater leaves the holding tank.
It does not replace a black-water or gray-water holding-tank heater pad. A tank heater protects the tank itself, while this product is designed to protect the valve, outlet, sewer hose, and campground inlet.
External Temperature Controller
The heating cable is self-regulating, but it does not switch itself completely off. A compatible external controller may be added to turn the system on and off according to outdoor temperature and reduce unnecessary operation during long-term winter stays.
The external temperature controller is not included with the standard system.

Installation Overview
The heating cable enters through the dedicated branch of the Y-adapter, travels inside the sewer hose toward the campground inlet, and leaves a section outside the adapter for the RV waste valve and outlet.
Disconnect power before installation, adjustment, removal, inspection, or cleaning.
Before Installation
Basic Installation Steps
- Open the cable-entry seal. Unscrew the compression gland from the Y-adapter and remove the rubber grommet.
- Connect the Y-adapter to the sewer hose. Attach it to the hose’s 3 in bayonet fitting and confirm the tabs are fully locked.
- Feed the cable through the adapter. Pass the cable through the gland cap and angled Y-entry opening.
- Guide the cable through the hose. Feed it gradually toward the campground sewer inlet. Stop if unusual resistance is felt.
- Extend the cable into the sewer inlet. Position the end below the inlet opening without forcing it through a tight elbow or obstruction.
- Connect the assembly to the RV. Attach and lock the Y-adapter to the RV sewer outlet.
- Seal the cable entry. Slide the grommet over the cable, seat it in the entry opening, and tighten the gland evenly.
- Protect the RV valve and outlet. Wrap the exposed cable around the valve and outlet using smooth loops.
- Connect power. Plug the GFCI-equipped cable into a properly grounded 120V outlet and test the GFCI before relying on the system.
Key Installation Notes
During Use
Periodically inspect the Y-adapter connections, cable-entry seal, hose slope, campground inlet position, cable around the RV outlet, GFCI plug, extension equipment, and cable jacket.
Disconnect the system immediately if the cable jacket, power cord, GFCI plug, or electrical connection is cut, crushed, abraded, separated, or otherwise damaged.

- Close the RV waste valves.
- Disconnect electrical power.
- Remove the cable from the campground sewer inlet.
- Disconnect the Y-adapter from the RV.
- Pull the cable out of the sewer hose gradually.
- Rinse residue from the cable jacket when necessary.

How is this different from an externally heated RV sewer hose or heat tape?
Most heated sleeves, blankets, and heat-tape systems apply heat from outside the sewer hose.
The YeloDeer system routes a removable self-regulating cable through the hose interior and extends protection to the RV valve, outlet, campground sewer inlet, and the section immediately below the inlet opening.
Which RV sewer hoses are compatible?
The standard system is designed for flexible 3 in RV sewer hoses with bayonet-style connections.
The internal route must be open enough for the cable to pass without being forced. It is not intended for permanent buried pipes, potable-water lines, or non-compatible sewer fittings.
Which size should I order?
Choose the 17 ft heating cable for a nominal 15 ft sewer hose and the 22 ft heating cable for a nominal 20 ft sewer hose.
For connected hoses, deployed routes longer than 20 ft, or unusual campsite layouts, request one continuous custom-length cable.

Will the system guarantee that my sewer connection never freezes?
