Auto On/Off Temperature Controlled Outlet for Heaters & Heat Tape
YeloDeer Auto On/Off Temperature Controlled Outlet is a simple plug-in thermostat adapter designed to automatically power compatible heating devices during freezing conditions.
It turns connected heating devices on when the surrounding temperature drops near freezing and turns them off when the temperature rises. This helps reduce manual plugging and unplugging during winter and can help reduce unnecessary heating runtime.
This standard plug-style thermostat is a good choice for pipe heat tape, chicken coop heaters, pet heated bowls, bird bath de-icers, greenhouse heaters, pump house heaters, garage heaters, and other compatible 120V heating devices.

Important Before You Order
This product is a fixed-temperature thermostat plug.
It is not a digital adjustable thermostat. It automatically turns on around freezing conditions and turns off when the temperature rises above the shutoff range. Exact activation temperature may vary slightly because mechanical thermostats have normal tolerance.
This product is designed for compatible 120V heating devices only. It is not designed for cooling fans, air conditioners, refrigerators, freezers, compressors, electric floor heating systems, baseboard heaters, whole-home HVAC systems, or 240V equipment.
Your device is a 120V heating device Your device is safe for automatic thermostat control Your total load is within outlet and circuit limits Your plug connection can stay dry and protected You do not need adjustable temperature control Your application does not require cooling or compressor control Your weatherproof cover can close with this adapter installed You understand mechanical thermostat tolerance is normal
Standard Plug vs Slim Extension Cord Version
Choose This Standard Plug If You want a compact thermostat plug, your outlet has enough space, your weatherproof cover can close with the adapter installed, and you do not need an extended cord design.
Choose the Slim Cord Version If Your outdoor outlet cover is tight, the bulky plug adapter prevents the cover from closing, or you need more flexible plug placement.
The control purpose is similar. The main difference is the physical design and outlet-cover fit.

Recommended Applications
YeloDeer Auto On/Off Temperature Controlled Outlet is designed for heating devices that need automatic freeze-temperature power control.

Compatible Devices
This product can be used with compatible 120V heating devices within the rated load.
The device is 120V The device is a heating device The device can safely turn on and off automatically Total load does not exceed outlet or circuit rating Plug connection can be protected from moisture Device manufacturer allows thermostat-controlled operation
Using with Heat Tape
This thermostat plug can be used with pipe heat tape when the heat tape is compatible with external thermostat control.
If the heat tape already has a built-in thermostat, both thermostats will affect operation. The heat tape will only run when this plug is active and the heat tape’s own thermostat is also calling for heat.
Outdoor Use
This product can be used for outdoor-related heating applications when properly protected.
For outdoor outlets, use a weatherproof in-use cover and keep the plug connection away from rain, snow, and standing water.
If the standard adapter prevents your outdoor cover from closing, use the slim temperature controlled extension cord version instead.
When Not to Use This Product
- Cooling fans
- Air conditioners
- Refrigerators or freezers
- Compressor-based equipment
- Electric floor heating systems
- Electric baseboard heaters

How It Works
Plug the thermostat outlet into a 120V outlet, then plug your heating device into the controlled outlet.
When the surrounding temperature drops near freezing, the thermostat activates and powers the connected heating device. When the temperature rises above the shutoff range, it turns the connected device off.
No programming or manual temperature setting is needed.
Temperature Tolerance Reminder
This product uses a mechanical temperature sensor. The actual activation temperature may vary slightly between units.
Small differences are normal and do not usually affect freeze protection performance.
Indicator Light
The indicator light turns on when the controlled outlet is active. If the product is plugged in but the surrounding temperature is above the activation range, the indicator light may stay off. This is normal.
Load and Device Check
Voltage is 120V Wattage is within safe limits Current draw is within outlet and circuit rating Device is safe for automatic thermostat control Device is not compressor-based Outlet, adapter, and circuit will not be overloaded
Basic Setup Overview
YeloDeer Auto On/Off Temperature Controlled Outlet is designed for simple plug-in use.
- Plug the thermostat outlet into a 120V outlet.
- Plug the heating device into the thermostat-controlled outlet.
- Position the thermostat where it can sense the cold environment properly.
- Keep the outlet and plug connection protected from moisture.
- Confirm the heating device operates when the temperature drops.
- Check the setup before severe winter weather.
Placement Tips
Place the thermostat plug where it can sense the actual cold conditions.
Good Placement Place it where surrounding air represents the cold condition that should trigger the connected heating device.
Avoid Poor Placement Do not place it directly against a heater, inside a warm enclosure for outdoor freeze control, in direct sunlight, under insulation, near warm vents, or in standing water.
Using with Outdoor Covers
If using this product outdoors, the outlet cover must be able to close properly.
If the plug adapter is too bulky and prevents the cover from closing, choose the temperature controlled extension cord version instead.
A closed weatherproof cover helps protect the connection from rain, snow, and moisture.
Using with Heat Tape
Install heat tape according to the heat tape instructions first. Then plug the heat tape into the thermostat outlet.
If the heat tape has its own built-in thermostat, the heat tape may not turn on unless both thermostats detect cold enough conditions.
Important Safety Notes
120V Heating Only Use only with compatible 120V heating devices. Do not use with 240V equipment.
No Cooling or Compressor Loads Do not use with cooling fans, compressors, air conditioners, refrigerators, or freezers.
Keep Connections Dry Keep plug and outlet connections dry and never place them in standing water.
Do Not Overload Do not overload the outlet, adapter, or circuit.
Use Outdoor Protection Use outdoor-rated protection for outdoor or semi-outdoor applications.
Inspect Before Winter Do not use if the adapter, plug, or connected cord is damaged.
