Trimmable Self-Regulating Pipe Heating Blanket for Hydrants, Valves & Irregular Pipes
YeloDeer 6W/ft Trimmable Self-Regulating Pipe Heating Blanket Kit is designed to help protect yard hydrants, outdoor faucets, large-diameter pipes, valves, elbows, bends, and other irregular pipe sections from freezing in winter.
Unlike a standard pipe heat cable that wraps around the pipe in a narrow line, this heating blanket covers a wider surface area. It combines a self-regulating heating cable, insulation layer, waterproof Oxford fabric, soft flannel lining, Velcro straps, and a built-in thermostat to provide easier freeze protection for pipe shapes that are difficult to wrap with regular heat tape.
This product is especially useful when the pipe shape is not straight, when a valve or hydrant needs wider coverage, or when you want a wrap-style pipe heating solution with both heat and insulation in one product.

Important Before You Order
Recommended 1 in to 1-1/2 in pipes, hydrants, valves, elbows, and wider irregular pipe sections.
Use Caution Not recommended for 1/2 in pipes because the blanket may not conform properly.
Trim Carefully Only trim the fabric area. Do not cut the heating cable, thermostat, power cord, or internal wiring.
External Wrap Use Only
Use It For Wrapping the outside of above-ground hydrants, valves, elbows, outdoor faucets, large-diameter pipes, and irregular pipe sections.
Do Not Use It For In-pipe installation, underground burial, long-term submersion, 1/2 in pipes, damaged pipes, or areas where the blanket may be crushed, cut, chewed, or submerged.
Self-Regulating Does Not Remove Installation Risk
This product uses a self-regulating heating cable, which adjusts heat output as the surrounding temperature changes. The built-in thermostat helps control operation by turning the heating system on around 38°F / 3°C and off around 50°F / 10°C.
Self-regulating heating helps reduce overheating risk compared with constant-wattage heating products, but proper installation, safe power connection, and regular inspection are still required.

How to Choose the Right Size
Choose the blanket length based on the section that needs freeze protection.
Pipe or hydrant height Valve or fitting length Area that freezes most often Pipe diameter Straight or irregular surface Whether one blanket can wrap the area Whether multiple blankets are needed Distance from pipe to outlet
For a standard straight pipe section, choose a blanket long enough to cover the exposed freeze-prone area. For hydrants and valves, make sure the blanket can cover the metal body, pipe connection, and cold-exposed sections where freezing usually begins.
Trimmable Design Reminder
Can Trim Trim only the fabric area carefully to improve fit around pipe shapes, bends, or valves.
Do Not Cut Do not cut the heating cable, thermostat, power cord, internal wiring, insulation structure, or heating element.
If you are unsure where the heating cable is located inside the blanket, do not trim the product.
Connecting Multiple Blankets
For pipes larger than 1-1/2 in or irregular areas that need more coverage, multiple blankets can be used together.
Install each blanket securely Avoid crushing or sharp folding Keep connections dry Do not overload the outlet Use safe extension cord capacity Confirm total circuit load

Important Installation Notes
Install the blanket before the pipe freezes. Do not cut the heating cable, power cord, or thermostat. Do not bury the blanket underground, submerge the electrical connection, install it on leaking pipes, or secure it with sharp fasteners.
External Wrap Use Only Do not insert the blanket or heating element inside a pipe.
Do Not Bury Do not bury the blanket underground or cover it with soil.
Protect Connections Do not allow the plug, thermostat, outlet, or extension cord connection to sit in water.
Protect the Blanket Do not crush, puncture, sharply fold, cut the heating cable, or use sharp fasteners.
Protect from Animals Protect the product from chewing animals, bedding materials, abrasion, and impact.
Follow Electrical Safety Use a properly protected outlet and consult a qualified professional for complex installations.
Using on Yard Hydrants
For yard hydrants, wrap the blanket around the exposed hydrant pipe or freeze-prone area. Make sure the blanket covers the area where freezing is most likely to happen, such as the pipe body, valve area, or above-ground exposed section.
Do not bury the blanket below the dirt surface. If the freezing problem is below ground, this product may not be the right solution.
Using on Valves and Elbows
For valves, elbows, and irregular fittings, position the blanket so it covers as much of the metal or pipe surface as possible. Use the Velcro straps and optional zip ties to hold the blanket in place. Avoid sharp folds or tight compression over the heating area.
Outdoor Power Connection
For outdoor use, plug the product into a properly installed outdoor-rated outlet. Use a weatherproof in-use cover. Do not allow the plug, thermostat, outlet, or extension cord connection to sit in standing water, snow, or direct rain exposure.
When to Use Extra Insulation
Nearby Pipe Sections If the pipe extends beyond the blanket, insulating nearby exposed pipe can help reduce heat loss.
Continuous Protection Zone Extra insulation may help maintain more consistent freeze protection around connected pipe sections.
Wind-Exposed Areas Additional insulation can help in outdoor, barn, stable, garage, or other cold-air exposed installations.
